The K5 Program offers a variety of services to Elementary students throughout the entire year.

School Year Services

Tutorial services are offered to students in grades K-5 in the Willamina/Sheridan area, upon teacher or parent/guardian request.

Afterschool Program 3:05-5:15 p.m.All-day programming on weekdays when there is no school (Willamina School District) 7:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m.

The K5 Summer Program will be expanding by 50%, to a capacity of 60 students, to help meet the needs of our Tribal and Native youth. A K-2nd and 3rd-5th program will be offered on the CTGR Campus.

There have been changes to the enrollment process. Please see below:

April 27–May 1 Open enrollment for CTGR Tribal Member Youth (First come, First serve) Time: 8am-12pm & 1pm-5pm weekdays (or until full) Location: CTGR Youth Education Building

May 4–Until full Open enrollment for CTGR Tribal Member Youth, Descendant and other enrolled Native youth (First come, First serve) Time: 8am-12pm & 1pm-5pm week days (or until full) Location: CTGR Youth Education Building

Applications must be submitted to a Youth Education staff member @ the Youth Education front desk

Eligibility Criteria/Intake Policy: All students enrolled in the program must meet the eligibility guidelines listed below, as well as provide proof of the following:

· Parent/Guardian must be working, participating in training, and/or in school during the hours of operation (typically 7:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m., Monday–Friday) or be providing foster or protective services.

· Student must be enrolled in Kindergarten through fifth grade during the 2014-15 school year

· Tribal Affiliation: Must be an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde; a member of another federally recognized tribe; or a descendant

· Service Area: Student must reside in one of six county service areas (Polk, Marion, Multnomah, Tillamook, Washington, Yamhill).

Applications will not be accepted before the above posted open enrollment dates or during non-office hours

This year’s nine week K5 Summer Program will run from

Monday June 8th through Friday August 7th

Applications for the K5 Afterschool Program are available the third week of July each year. Sign-ups will take place the first week of August. Due to limited availability, admission is based on a first-come, first-serve system. Once the spaces have been filled, a waiting list will be compiled with any remaining applicants.
