477 Employment and Training is a “to work” program designed to help Tribal members toward their goal of achieving self sufficiency.
You may be determined eligible for services if you are:
- Temporarily unemployed
- Looking for employment, or
- Medically unable to look for work on a short-term basis
- A Full-Time Student
- Income-based program
2010 Activity:
In 2010, the 477 Employment and Training Program served 99 Tribal members;
- Staff attended the 477 Employment and Training National Conference;
- Employment 101 Class facilitated in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Transportation;
- In 2010, RAPTOR Roofers Training Program held its first class;
- In 2010, Life Skills classes in Portland office and in partnership with the casino in regards to job loss recidivism at Spirit Mountain Casino.
