Dear Grand Ronde Tribal Members in the Eugene Area:
This letter is provided to the Grand Ronde Tribal membership
in the Eugene Area to inform Tribal members of two major changes going on in
the Eugene area. The first major change
is that the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde will no longer lease the office
at the Eugene address of 711 Country Club Road.
The Tribe has elected to lease an office in a different location at the
address of:
10th and
Charnelton Building
211 W 10th
Avenue
Eugene OR 97401
The Tribe is in the process of moving furniture, office
equipment and supplies into the new office.
The process is not complete and upon completion, the Tribal organization
will continue to monitor the activities in the office to determine
effectiveness of the new office environment and associated programs. This letter provides a map of the address and
a photograph of the office building on the reverse side of this page.
Due to the lack of renewal of the Country Club Rd. office
lease, and the need to find at least an interim location, the lease for the new
office was negotiated on a month-to-month basis. Long-term, future plans for the Eugene office
have yet to be determined. The Executive Office will make be working with
Tribal Council to develop a future direction for the office and we would
welcome feedback from the membership.
As many of you may have heard, the previous Eugene office
coordinator, Perri McDaniel accepted another position with the Tribe, so the
second major change is that there is currently no permanent employee working in
the Eugene office. There is currently a
temporary employee working for the Tribe in Eugene. The temporary employee’s name is Amber
Castle. Amber will be employed in the
newly leased office on a part-time temporary basis.
Since the office move is not complete and fully equipped, we
will only be able to provide the contracted exercise and culture classes that
are offered by the current contractors.
The classes will be offered at the same scheduled times, but will be
moved to the new office. Please check
with the contractors for additional information.
Please accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience
these changes may cause our Eugene area membership. The
Tribe is committed to providing quality programs and services to our membership
in the Eugene and surrounding areas. We
will continue to work with the Tribal members, Tribal programs, and Tribal
resources to determine the best approach to achieving that goal.
If anyone has any questions, please contact John Mercier at
503-879-2400. Thank you for your
valuable time and commitment to the Eugene area and the Grand Ronde Tribe.
Sincerely,
John Mercier
