The Higher Education Programs provide a comprehensive offering of Educational services to Tribal members. These services include funding for full or part time college level courses, vocational training and personal enrichment opportunities. GED / High School Completion
The purpose of the GED / High School Completion program is to provide assessment, instruction, and funding to members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde sixteen years of age or older who are seeking a GED, High School Completion, or Basic Skill Development. The GED / High School completion program will also coordinate a variety of cultural classes.

Academic Advising Program
The Academic Advising Program advocates for members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde by facilitating access to post-secondary education and vocational training at the two year, four year, and graduate levels. Program services are available to all tribal members regardless of residency.

Part Time College Program
The Part-time College Program (formerly known as the Continuing & Distance Education program) assists adult members of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon while attending post-secondary schooling, generally on a part-time basis, at accredited colleges and universities. Participating students can be pursuing associates, bachelors or graduate-level degrees, or simply taking coursework for their own enrichment.

Associate Vocational Program
The purpose of the Associate Vocational Program (AVP) is to assist enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde in acquiring training and job skills necessary for gainful employment. All educational institutions are subject to review by the Education Division prior to the approval of AVP Grant awards.

Bachelor Degree Program
The Bachelor Degree Program will provide “Need Based Funding” to enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde who are attending an accredited college on a full time basis in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree. (see page 12 for approved accreditation agencies) All colleges are subject to review and approval by the Education Division prior to funding.

Competitive Scholarship Program
The Competitive Scholarship is one of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde’s available funding sources for Tribal members pursuing a higher education. The scholarships are open to any enrolled Tribal member attending an accredited two or four-year college, university, trade school, or vocational school. The scholarships vary by type and are automatically renewable as long as the student continues to meet minimum academic requirements.

Non Credit Program
The purpose of the Noncredit Program is to assist enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde in obtaining funding for employment related skill development and training, cultural enrichment, and personal and professional development through classroom instruction, seminars, workshops, conferences, apprenticeships, certification or licensing programs, and accredited vocational colleges and universities.
