The U.S. Border Patrol will conduct a Customs and Border Protection Recruiting Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Tribal Education Building, 9615 Grand Ronde Road.
As agents for the U.S. Border Patrol, employees protect more than 8,000 miles of international boundaries. To be considered, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or resident for the past three years, be between 18 and 39 years of age and pass a background investigation.

The Tribe's Health and Wellnes Center will offer free flu shots between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4. Free immunizations will be available to anyone who comes in, regardless of insurance coverage or Tribal membership. For more information, contact the center at 503-879-2002.

University of Oregon representative Lindsey Watchman will visit the Tribe to show students the many opportunities at the University of Oregon to help inspire them to change the world. Dinner and child care will be provided. The event is for students in middle school and higher, as well as parents.

Dinner will include chicken nuggets, fish sticks, tater tots and cookies. Seventy-four people attended the February Movie Night.

- Sacred Hoop Ceremony
The Tribe’s Behavioral Health and Prevention programs are hosting a Sacred Hoop Ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, in the Tribal gym.
The four gifts of the Sacred Hoop are the power to forgive, healing, hope and unity. The hoop brings healing for all recovering from different kinds of trauma and also helps strengthen sobriety and Wellbriety in the community.
The ceremony is open to all.
