• The Tribal Council meetings are intended to be safe venues in  which Tribal members, community members and guests can share their ideas, thoughts, and concerns. Please be courteous and respectful to all speakers.
• Official recordings of Council meetings (indicating whether or not they have been edited) will be made available to Grand Ronde Tribal members upon request.  Members are asked to contact Tribal Council’s Chief of  Staff to  obtain meeting recording/filming at a cost of $5 each.  Except for official recordings made by the Tribe, no photos, audio or video recording of Council meetings will be permitted.

 1. Items of Consent from the Legislative Action Committee
 a. Building Code Ordinance Waiver re: Powwow Arena and Arbor– resolution 
 Date:  06-30-15 Present: 9 of 9 Recommendation: 9 yes 
  The Committee recommends the Tribal Council adopt a resolution to waive the following three Building Code Ordinance requirements:  i) fire alarm system pursuant to Section 907.2.1; ii) minimum number    of plumbing     fixtures required pursuant to Chapter 29 and Table 2902.1; and iii) roof classification of C as required by Table 1505.1.

  b. TERO Ordinance Amendments – First Reading
   Date:  06-30-15 Present: 9 of 9 Recommendation: 9 yes
   The Committee recommends the Tribal Council move forward with a first reading of the proposed amendments to the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance:
   The proposed amendments include:
   1. Revisions to the definition of Qualified.
   2. Clarification of TERO Commission and TERO Director roles.
   3. Requirements for TERO involvement at various stages of Employment Process
   4. Provisions addressing promotions and retention.
   5. A prohibition against retaliation.
   6. Succession planning requirements; and
   7. Provisions permitting the issuance of a notice of violation to a Tribal Employer and allowing the employer to appeal notices of violation to the TERO Commission.
