Michael Langley is a second term Tribal Council Member and a first term Secretary for the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde where his lineage includes Umpqua, Chinook, and Klickitat. Michael Langley is the grandson of Roy and Delia Langley and son of Leonard and Rose Langley. Michael's tribal lineage also includes being a descendant of the Shoshone-Bannock tribes through his grandmother. Michael Langley's professional participation includes Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI), working through the taxation, transportation, and education committees and others when he is able to. Michael is the acting delegate for the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) with the same committee work and as many more as he can fit into his schedule.

The Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) is also a group Michael Langley actively works with, taking advantage of his education and experience in accounting and internal auditing. Finance and taxation has come to the fore of native communities bringing some exciting work to be involved with at this time. Michael serves on two state of Oregon/Intertribal working groups, the Tribal Cultural Items Task Force and the Elliot State Research Forest Advisory Committee. Michael's cultural interests include leading efforts to restore native and traditional plants in the area as well as bringing them to the tribal housing to be experienced firsthand and to become a regular part of the landscape and interactions with both the young and adult members.
