Learn about native based curriculum, best practices, tribal history and so much more!

Join Us

Join us for a full day of Indian Education at the 2021 Grand Ronde Education Summit. This is a FREE professional development training open to all educators. Educators will earn PDU credits, as well as resources and materials to take home and use in your classrooms right away.

What to Expect

The entire Education Summit will be hosted live on Zoom from 9am - 3pm on Thursday, June 24th. Starting at 9am, there will be a welcome session followed by a Grand Ronde history presentation. After the history presentation, our keynote speaker will join us.

Breakout sessions will follow throughout the rest of the day, ending at 3:00pm. You will be able to ask questions and work in small groups, just as if you were attending the summit in person. To create the best virtual summit experience possible, we will be utilizing some share community agreements to help us work better together.

How to Prepare

First you will have to register, then you will need to navigate to the sessions page to access the presentations. Select which session you would like to attend and follow the instructions to access Zoom. Please review the Education Summit Agenda (below) and breakout descriptions ahead of time to choose which sessions you would like to attend. Some sessions also include advance reading assignments & literature, which can be found below or on the description page of the sessions that are required. On the morning of the event, clink the links for each breakout session you choose to attend. For the best experience, attendees are encouraged to access the virtual summit on their computers (instead of mobile devices).
