Grand Ronde Tribal Curriculum

The Grand Ronde Tribal Curriculum workshop will cover the resources and materials that the Confederated tribes of Grand Ronde has for educators and how to bring the curriculum into their classrooms to teach Tribal History and shared History curriculum.

Presenter Bio: 

Justine Flynn

Justine is currently and newly the Curriculum Specialist for the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. Prior to being in that position, she worked in the Chinuk Language Education program for four years as an immersion teacher for second, third, and fourth grade students. Justine got her BA in Ethnic Studies from the University of Oregon with minors in Native American Studies and Political Science. She then went on to receive her MAT from Western Oregon University in Elementary Education, focusing on Dual Language Learning and Culturally Responsive Teaching. She also earned her Oregon Teaching License. Justine is a Grand Ronde tribal member, and she grew up in Grand Ronde, Oregon. She currently lives in Willamina, Oregon with her husband and two daughters, Maple and Juniper. They love to camp, spend time outdoors, attend sporting events, and hang out with family. If Justine has any free time, you can guarantee that she is reading.
