Government

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde make up one of nine federally recognized tribal nations in Oregon, representing over 30 tribes and bands from western Oregon, northern California, and southwest Washington. As a sovereign confederation, we govern ourselves with a deep commitment to our diverse community, values, and future generations, prioritizing accountability, transparency, and care for the well-being of our members and the lands we steward.

Tribal Council

The Grand Ronde Tribal Council was created by the Tribal Constitution to be the main governing and legislative body of the Tribe. Its key roles include creating Tribal laws and policies, as well as making decisions about the Tribal budget and investments.

Tribal Court

The mission of the Tribal Court is to resolve legal disputes fairly and quickly for the Tribe and its members. The Court interprets Tribal laws and the Constitution while making it easy for people to access information about laws and procedures.

Tribal Police

The mission of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Tribal Police Department is to uphold the sovereignty and customs of the Confederated Tribes, protect life and property, and promote peace within the community.
