Lisa Leno
Council
My name is Lisa Leno, and I am the proud daughter of Dave and Lyn Leno; the granddaughter of Arnold and Maxine (McKnight) Leno; and the great granddaughter of David and Emma (Tom) Leno and Thomas and Alvira (Langley) McKnight.
Growing up I have always had a passion for people and over the course of my life I have dedicated myself to a life of service. I have always tried to cultivate healthy relationships and led with integrity, compassion and respect.
Prior to serving on Tribal Council, I had the privilege of working as a tribal employee. As an employee, I was able to help develop and manage our preschool head-start program, youth education program and prevention program. As part of those programs, I worked with staff to give our youth the tools they needed to overcome obstacles, become successful adults and the leaders of tomorrow. Many of them grew up to be friends and to this day I am proud of each one of them.
On Tribal Council my priority has always been our members and over the years, I have worked closely with Tribal Council and staff to bring new projects and programming forward to help meet the needs of our members.
