Welcome to the CTGR 5th Grade Math and Science Unit

The math and science lessons below work to supplement the CTGR 5th Grade Social Studies lessons and can be taught in-conjunction or as stand-alone. The math lesson covers a variety of cultural/historical objects and their uses, as well as mathematical concepts. The science lessons allow students the opportunity to explore the flora and fauna of the Grand Ronde Reservation and the relationships that exist between them.

The goal of these lessons is to create a comprehensive Native American curriculum that spreads Native American culture and history across multiple subjects, rather than specifically Social Studies.

The lesson plans below include both PDF and presentation documents to be used in the classroom.
