Welcome to the CTGR High School ELA Unit

The lesson plans below are easily modified and adaptable to the needs of any classroom. They place an emphasis on identity and presence for Native Americans. These lessons can be taught in-conjunction with each other or as stand-alone lessons. The lessons cover a variety of topics including identity, stereotypes, multiple perspectives, and language revitalization. If you are looking for more Native American stories to apply these concepts, we have provided a list of recommended Native American titles to help further educate students about Native American history and culture.

The Recommended Reading List can be found in the “Other Resources” section of the Curriculum webpage. The lesson plans below include both PDF and presentation documents to be used in the classroom.
