Novel Coronavirus Preparedness

02.28.2020 By: Kelly Rowe Health and Wellness

If you suspect or have symptoms (fever, cough, sneezing)  and/or flu-like symptoms, please do not enter the Health & Wellness Center! To help limit possible exposure to others, please contact the receptionist at: (503) 879-2032 for triage and alternative entrance.

Tribal staff from Spirit Mountain Casino, Health and Wellness and Emergency Preparedness are closely collaborating with Yamhill County Public Health and the Oregon Health Authority to develop response to a possible outbreak.

At this time, the Yamhill County Public Health Department do not believe there is imminent threat of outbreak in our surrounding areas; however, education and precautionary tactics are being established in our facilities to support detection and prevent virus spread.

Symptoms of novel coronavirus are similar to influenza—fever, cough and difficulty breathing, which may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 days after exposure.  Prevention tactics are frequent handwashing, avoiding touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, avoiding contact with people who are sick, staying home while sick and avoiding contact with others, and covering your mouth and nose with tissue and sleeve when coughing or sneezing.

To limit possible exposure, we are asking patients who believe they have been exposed to the virus to call into the Clinic at (503) 879-2032 for escort inside.
