Presenter Bio:

Cheyanne Fasana-Heidt

Cheyanne is currently a Coach for the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and an Education Consultant at Destination Diversity. She grew up in Willamina, Oregon, which will always be her home but currently, she lives in Billings, MT while her husband attends Physician Assistant school. As a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Cheyanne was extremely fortunate to grow up just minutes away from her reservation. As a child she attended powwows, after school and summer programs, community holiday parties, and veteran’s events. Cheyanne’s Grandpa was on Tribal Council for most of her life, so she had many opportunities to learn and participate within her Tribe. Cheyanne attended school in Willamina from Kindergarten through her senior year of high school. After she graduated from Willamina, Cheyanne began her undergrad at Oregon State University where she earned a double degree in Human Development & Family Studies and Education, as well as earning her Oregon Teaching License for Elementary Education. Moving forward Cheyanne completed her graduate program at Western Oregon University where she majored in Curriculum Development and Instruction, specifically related to Culturally Responsive Teaching. Since then, Cheyanne has worked on building her business, Destination Diversity, and served as an academic coach for Grand Ronde Tribal youth.
