Primary Goals:

  • To build a personal connection with all Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Veterans

  • To recognize and honor past and present veterans
  • To provide an opportunity for veterans and families to connect and build community

Tribal Veterans’ Service Officer (TVSO)

In March 2020, Tribal Council approved a memorandum of understanding with the Oregon Department Veteran’ Affairs to provide training and accreditation for a Tribal Veterans’ Service Officer. This dedicated position will provide great opportunity for development and growth while ensuring a level of service to veterans’ and families that did not exist before.

- How do I schedule an appointment to discuss my Veterans benefits?

Call, email or write the Tribal Veterans Service Officer to schedule an appointment (see contact information above)

- What will we cover at the appointment with the Tribal Veterans Service Officer?

  • Conduct an interview to determine what benefits you might be eligible for
  • Complete and sign a 4001-PE2 HIPAA form
  • Complete and sign a 21-22 Appointment of Veterans Service Organization form
  • Work with you to reach the goal of filing applicable claims

- What do I need to bring to my appointment? (Multiple or involved claims may require multiple appointments)

  • Your DD-214/DD-215 (certificate of release or discharge from active duty)
  • Any letters or correspondence from Veterans Affairs regarding your claims and benefits
  • Your questions (any and all are welcome)

- How will we meet while the Tribe is closed to visitors due to COVID-19?
